The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) invites you to attend a webinar on the status and future direction on nationwide electronic toll collection (ETC) interoperability in the U.S. In 2019, the FHWA authorized a research and synthesis study to document the progress and direction toward achieving nationwide ETC interoperability. The resulting synthesis report employs the results of that study, and identifies the current efforts toward nationwide interoperability, challenges to overcome, near-term trajectory of achieving nationwide toll interoperability, and the potential for emerging technologies and business models to influence achieving ETC interoperability.
In addition to sharing the results of the synthesis report, the webinar will present a panel discussion on recent developments and trends beyond tolling that have the potential to influence the trajectory of nationwide interoperability. The panel will include:
James Hoffman, Executive Director, North Texas Tollway Authority
Chris Thomlinson, Executive Director, State Road and Tollway Authority
P.J. Wilkins, Executive Director, E-ZPass
Representative from the Western Region (TBD)
