A new version of SMS was released just this week! 13.2.12

Do you recommend updating versions over the course of a project, or sticking with the same version for the project duration?

Because updates include bug fixes, updates are essential. And always save a back of you're project and reach out to Scott or I if you have issues with a transition.

Even it is out of the main topic, I have a question about post-processing of SRH-2D. If I obtained field data of flow velocity 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80% and I can compare with SRH-2D simulation result, is it okay to use 60% depth data because SRD-2D computes depth averaged velocity.

Is there a "Select only this layer" tool for annotations? I've had multiple issues where I inadvertently move inactive annotations.

Comment on the undo feature....An undo feature in SMS would be great, but may not be the same as we are use to in MS Office etc. I worry a little about an undo feature stressing limited processing resources by making stepwise copies of large meshes or map data layers. If the feature is added, it would great if it could toggled on/off or used selectively.

Good question. I have had issues with this as well.

Annotations is one area that has not been seeing a lot of changes in the past year.

As Scott said, we can review the current behavior and discuss changes/improvements that may be warranted.

Do you need to take care that the bridge centerline vertices aren't directly on top of your pier location?

Scott, FYI, some of us cannot see your cursor, if you're using it to point at details in the presentation.

The centerline vertices do not need to lie on the piers.

How do I fix this issue where odd triangles get added to the bridge?

If you don't have a wall pier, how do you specify the number of side elements? can you?

Caitlyn, I you create a bridge footprint coverage and use that in your base mesh generator, you will avoid these issues.

does the bridge footprint polygon include the wrapping elements?

Have you ever compared the hydraulic results from the old bridge method vs new method?

How do you remove those odd triangles if you built the base mesh first?
